The vocational training Centre at Worli Municipal School was started in 2005 in collaboration with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mandal (MAVIM) and S.N.D.T. University for the economically backward women. Many of these ladies have become successfully self - sufficient in addition to forming self - help groups with MAVIM. An earlier project with SNDT conducting tailoring class, have made successful self - help groups of women who manufacture saree - petticoats and joss sticks (agarbatti).
With the growing need for trained and trustworthy domestic help and health workers, the Association with the tripartite agreement of MAVIM and Sophia College of Home Science will undertake a project to train destitute women for this purpose. For futher information please contact:-
